Philippine Fashion Week 2008

As a true blue fashionista, I was invited to attend the Philippine Fashion Week 2008 at the SMX Convention Center, SM Mall of Asia last May. It was my first time and practically, if you're really into fashion, you shouldn't miss this event. Expect that there will be numerous fashion critics. So... First thing's first. Choose an outstanding outfit that's fit for the budget.

It says in the invitation semi-formal, so i hurried to Zara in Shangrila Mall to buy a new dress. I was choosing between colors black, white, and red. Black is really classic but i guess, 80% of the audience would go on black. And I don't think i can carry white dresses, clumsy me, i don't think i could keep it clean and "unstainable" for the whole evening. So i chose my favorite color: RED!!! With matching Russian Red lipstick from MAC. :p

Since it was my first time to attend a big fashion show event, i was surprised. It's more than watching FTV. OMG! I feel great meeting different top designers, beautiful and really (ehem!) tall models and all these fashion enthusiasts. I even saw my local fave icon -- Tessa Prieto-Valdez. At the end of the show, i realized that Filipinos make good designs, they are naturally artistic, its a world class talent, which made me really proud.
